He{Art} Journal Mix | Springing To Life

“My Dahlia” | Mixed Media Art

Spring is now making its appearance with flowers starting to bloom, green grass and trees, needless to say its because there has been a lot of rain where I live. I know its going to be a matter of time when summer comes and I look forward to more sunshine and warm, long days…. Usually, I would look forward to summer because that is when the dahlias would explode into full bloom and bring so much color in our garden. But, this year we had to say good bye to our garden and had to find our dahlias a new home. Luckily, we have some wonderful friends, Marie and Miko, whom we’ve entrusted our dahlias to, so that they can take good care of them and I know will appreciate these beautiful flowers.

“Trust” | Mixed Media Art

I’ve been playing in my art journal lately and surprised myself with some rather unique pages that I had not planned out the way it did. It was just one of those moments where I let my heart go wild with creativity and had no clear vision to what I was going to create. The pages you see are results of just being present in the moment and letting my heart pour out with whatever it felt. I guess you can see for yourself that I had a deep encounter with my faith and the truths that have been guiding me throughout my life, especially the last several months when my family and I had to endure so many changes and challenges. My faith, family, and love for God is what truly motivates me to be the creative soul that I am. I love to make art with a message that would bring hope and encouragement to those who see my work.

“Forgiveness Is a Choice” | Mixed Media Art

Sometimes its so hard to forgive. Its hard to forgive others, its hard to forgive our past, its even so much more harder sometimes to forgive ourselves. But, one thing I have learned is that when I do forgive, I find freedom and the willingness to let go and be free.

“Just Believe” | Mixed Media Art

Miracles do happen when you believe. There have been a lot of times that I’ve found myself faced with the impossible, but I am so certain now more than ever that miracles do exist. The power of prayer and faith in God is and will always be the reason for the miracles I’ve experienced. Its an amazing and wonderful feeling to witness a prayer answered or to see the changes that could only be made possible through God. I’ve seen lives spared, know people who have been healed, and situations turned around through some of the most incredible and even mysterious ways. Every miracle has strengthened my faith and my love for God and for others exponentially. I hope that I can share that with others and be a blessing to all who are in need of hope and encouragement.
